RomanceNovelSluts.com is a romance novel fan site run by me, Sarah, an avid and enthusiastic romance novel fan.  This site it for romance readers whose passion is so large for romance, that well, we will do anything for it.

But what is a slut?

Cat O’Rouke, on the groups Facebook fan page, proposed that SLUTS  should stand for Savvy Ladies who Unearth Treasured Stories.  I have to be inclined to agree.

We are sluts.  Savvy(Saucy, Sexy, Smart, Super) Ladies (or Lords) Unearthing (Uncovering) Tales (Treasured Stories, or Treasured Sagas, or Treasure!)

So, by RBS/RNS decree, we are  The Seekers of Love and Undeniable Temptation of Stories.

So, welcome Lords and Ladies.  Keepers of Treasure.  Seekers of Love.  Welcome to Romance Novel Slults!

Who is Slut/Lady Sarah?

I’m from Texas (that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.)  I wasn’t much of a reader growing up, but Mom starting working in a bookstore when I was in junior high.  I started helping out during sale time (it kept me out of trouble).  She would hand me the books to mark for the sale, and I would start making a stack of books that look interesting to me.  Mom took note of that, happy to have found something that interested me.  I don’t think I ever read any of those books, but she would introduce me to Sunfire Romances and then Regency Romance and Time-Travels and Julie Garwood, then there was no looking back.  I was hooked.  And I had a job.  My sophomore year in high school, I would start working for the bookstore shelving the historical romance section.

I still treasure the four years I worked there.  I met romance authors!  You might have heard of them:  Christina Dodd (the first romance author I ever met), Susan Wiggs, the late Arnette Lamb, Heather MacAllister, Patricia Kay, Susan Mallery, and the list goes on!  They inspired me, and I have been a member of Romance Writers of America since … *cough*… lets not say when…

I since had to leave the bookstore.  I went to college.  I fell in love.  I got a job, got married, and got a cat.   I don’t work in a bookstore.  But I still read.  Still write.  Still dream.  Happy to be in good company.

Yes, I’m referring to my husband as “Juan”. That isn’t his name, but if you knew his name, you could probably find him. Yep. That unique. Holly is my cat, and yes, that is her name.
